Apply Online

  1. Motorists can apply for the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) service (Express Way) through the Nairobi Expressway Portal.
  2. Click on the “LOGIN” hyperlink options on the menu bar on the right, this will redirect the applicant to the Service login page.
  3. Hover the mouse cursor over the “Create an Account” hyperlink, to create an account for either an “Individual” or “Corporate”.
  4. Applicants will be required to register using an ID number or a valid passport number. Other requirements include the creation of a password and a valid mobile phone number for verification.
  5. Upon creating an account, a verification code will be sent to the mobile number used in the registration. After entering the verification code, users will be directed to the application portal.
  6. The applicant will be required to select “Apply for a new Electronic Toll Collection (ETC)”, this prompts the application form to be displayed, accurately enter all the requested information accurately, upload all the supporting documentation as listed on the site and select an installation center before submitting the request for processing.
  7. Motorists will be required to proceed with making payment for the service charge of Ksh1,000 (inclusive of VAT) and purchase/ top up toll points, using the applicable payment venue, before having the On Board Unit (OBU) installed on the motorist vehicle by a Nairobi expressway official at the selected installation center.

  • With the Moja Expressway Company, motorists can either pay through three methods: cash, a Manual Toll Card, or an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) so to be able to access the expressway services.
  • Before using the Nairobi Expressway motorists are encouraged to ensure that their have sufficient Toll Points for the Toll fee.
