Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for Provisional Accreditation with the National Construction Authority (NCA), applicants are required to visit the NCA online portal
2. Once on the portal the applicant should hover the mouse cursor over the “Accreditation” hyperlink on the top menu bar and click on it.
3. This will redirect the applicant to the NCA LOGIN page.
4. Applicants who are already registered as a user should log in to the portal using their credentials and proceed with the application process.
5. Applicants that do not have an account with the NCA portal, will be required to register by, hovering the mouse cursor over the “REGISTER” tab and clicking on it to proceed with the registration process.
6. Once registered applicant should log into their account with the National ID/Passport Number and password used during registration process.
7. Applicant can apply either as a “LOCAL CONTRACTOR” or “FOREIGN CONTRACTOR” then click on the “New Application” on the drop box, then click on “Provisional Accreditation”. this will prompt the application page to be display.
8. Applicant should proceed with the application process by accurately submitting/enter the information and upload all supporting documentation that will be requested before submitting the application for processing.
9. After submission of the online accreditation application an invoice will be sent to your email address used during registration with the amount to be paid and mode of payment.
10. Applicant will receive a text message notifying him/her of the sent invoice, and this will be sent via phone number used during registration.
11. At this stage follow the instructions to make payment for the accreditation. An accreditation fee of Kes. 1000 for construction workers and Kes. 2000 for site supervisors will be charged
12. Upon making payment, the applicant is required to share the proof of payment (Mpesa payment Confirmation message or bank slip transaction number) with the NCA through its portal,
13. Upon receiving proof of payment the NCA will issue the applicant will a payment confirmation notification.
14. Upon a successful application processing applicant will receive a text message notifying him/her to collect their accreditation card from the specified NCA office or Huduma Centre, their selected during the application process.
15. The timeframe accumulatively for processing this application is usually within 30 minutes minimum to 60 working days maximum.

• Experience; evidenced by a recommendation letter from a contractor, quantity surveyor, architect or engineer.
• Copy of National Identification Card/ passport (to attach)
• Passport size photograph (to attach)
• Any other supporting documentation as may be requested by the Authority

Eligibility

• All contractors (local & foreign) are eligible to apply.

Fees

• An accreditation fee of Ksh. 1000 for construction workers and Ksh. 2000 for site supervisors

Validity

• The validity of the provisional accreditation card shall be mentioned on the card and shall remain valid for the stipulated period, unless cancelled or revoked or suspended by the Authority.
