Procedure

The M-PESA Business till is an enhancement of the existing Lipa Na M-PESA Buy Goods till that enables business owners to collect payments on the till and use the money collected to make other transactions directly from their till.

Apply In-Person:
To apply for an M-PESA Till Number in Kenya, you can follow these steps:

1. Business Registration: Ensure that your business is legally registered in Kenya. You will need to have a valid business registration certificate or other relevant documents.

10. Set Up Your M-PESA Till Number: Follow the instructions provided by Safaricom to set up your M-PESA Till Number. This typically involves linking the Till Number to your existing M-PESA account or creating a new M-PESA account if you don't have one.
11. Start Accepting Payments: Once your M-PESA Till Number is activated, you can start accepting payments from customers through M-PESA. Share your Till Number with customers and instruct them to make payments to your Till Number when making purchases.

N.B: Activate the Till Number Downloading M-PESA Business App from Google Play store or iPhone App Store or access through *234*2#:

1. From the nominated number, dial *234# and Select Option 2 for M-PESA Business Till then enter the store number of the til received from SMS after application. Please ensure you change your store secret PIN number by dialing *234*2# and selecting Account Services to complete the activation process.
