Apply In Person

  1. To apply for the Invalidity Benefits, the applicant should make the application to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). Please view the NSSF branches and contact details through this NSSF Branches Contact Details.
  2. Visit any NSSF office or HUDAMA Centre (NSSF Service Desk) and obtain the application form for Invalidity or download the form directly through this Invalidity Benefits Application Form.
  3. Read and complete the application form correctly and obtain all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the completed application form in a single.
  4. Then visit the National Social Security Fund office of any huduma centre (NSSF Service Desk) and submit the application to the National Social Security Fund attending officer at the service desk for free.
  5. The National Social Security Fund officer will receiver the application dossier and check if the form is completed accordingly and if the applicant has provided all the required supporting documents.
  6. After the verification process, the National Social Security Fund officer will complete the appropriate section of the application form and forward it to the relevant office at the National Social Security Fund for processing.
  7. The applicant will then be examined for confirmation of his/her invalidity by the National Social Security Fund-appointed doctor.
  8. After the confirmation of the invalidity, the National Social Security Fund will process the applicant’s invalidity benefits and issue the funds to the applicant.

  • Original and copy of Letter of retirement or termination on medical grounds from the last employer.
  • Original and copy of GP-24(revised)/letter of Confirmation into P&P terms. (old fund)
  • Original and copy of ATM/Bankcard.
  • EFT Authority form.
  • A full set of fingerprints.
  • Certified Copies of hospital attendance records and treatment records.

EligibilityEdit

  • NSSF members who have made at least thirty-six monthly contributions to the pension fund immediately preceding declaration of invalidity are eligible to apply.


NOTE: The applicant should have been declared Invalid upon physical examination by a medical board and the Medical Board should have issued a dully signed certificate of invalidity and the Director of Medical Services (DMS) should have recommended payment

  • Invalidity benefit is a social security benefit payable to those who are incapable of work because of illness or disability.
