Procedure

Anyone who has been (Fully or partially) vaccinated in Kenya can get their Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Health. MoH Contact Details

Already vaccinated person

1. Visit the MoH portal on the address bar of any of the following recommended browsers; (Internet Explorer or Mozilla or Chrome) then click on the “Get-Service” tab under The Chanjo Portal (MOH NVIP) section.
2. Already vaccinate person with an already account existing account with the MoH should click on the “Sign In” tab, Enter Username (National ID / Passport No/ Alien ID / Birth Cert...) and Password then click on the “Login” tab.
3. Person without an account should click on the “Create Account” tab and provide the following details on the next window: All inputs with an asterisk (*) are required
   • Have you been vaccinated? Select (Yes)
   • Select identification type (National ID, Passport, Birth Certificate, Alien ID, Military ID)
   • Identification number
   • Provide your email
   • Insert your phone number and country code
   • Enter Password, Confirm then Sign Up.
4. Once login to the portal, read through the pop-up instruction then click on the “I have read the Instruction” tab.
5. The MoH system will automatically conduct a search, after a successful search click on the “View Your Info” tab
6. On the next window click on the “Edit My Details” tab, select the Identification document used during registration /vaccination and enter the document number, then click on the “Update” tab, proceed and make all amendments then click on “Save”.
7. The time frame for amending the certificate is instantly and they are no fees associated with this service.
8. Users should ensure they log out of the system when they are done with the application process. This is to avoid unauthorized access to a third party(s) who may manipulate the information.

Not yet vaccinated person

1. Visit the MoH portal on the address bar of any of the following recommended browsers; (Internet Explorer or Mozilla or Chrome) then click on the “Get-Service” tab under The Chanjo Portal (MOH NVIP) section.
2. Click on the “Create Account” tab, and provide the following details on the next window: All inputs with an asterisk (*) are required
   • Have you been vaccinated? Select (No)
   • Select identification type (National ID, Passport, Birth Certificate, Alien ID, Military ID)
   • Identification number
   • Provide your email
   • Insert your phone number and country code
   • Enter Password, Confirm then Sign Up.
   • Click on the ”Enter Personal Information” tab
   • You’re next of kin details are required
   • Select your location of residence
   • Select the allergies/pre-existing conditions that you have. If they are not in the list, fill in using the other allergies/conditions option.
   • Confirm your details then click submit to complete registration.
   • In case the applicant has completed the registration process and realizes it was erroneous, he/she can amend the details by clicking on the “Edit My Details” tab and proceeding to make the amendments as required, then clicking on the ‘Save’ dates
3. The time frame for amending the certificate is instantly and they are no fees associated with this service.
