Karnataka - Reserve Vehicle Number Or Select Advance Vehicle Number (Fancy Number Registration)

In order to reserve fancy vehicle number the applicant has to contact the appropriate RTO office under which his/her area belongs to. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices. Link for RTO contacts: Contact link
Applicant should apply by writing in a A4 Plain white paper for a reservation of a fancy registration number.
Please submit the application along with advised document at the counter as advised by RTO authorities
The application will be processed internally, upon availability you will be requested to pay a fee which secures the registration number.

Need for the DocumentEdit

Any individual in India, if desires to acquire a registration number for his vehicle in advance can reserve the particular number, if available. If more than one applicant applies, then the highest bidder will get the number.
A fancy number is one which when rotated 180 degrees is the same. Not only that, any number with special format as per the wish of the applicant. Even the transport department has list of numbers reserved as fancy number.
Applicant has to apply and will get the number, if available by paying the amount as advised.
It is socio status requirement of certain vehicle owners.
