ProcedureEdit

The application for renewal of the license is to be made within thirty days from the date of its expiry.
Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall apply with their respective labour office from where the license was obtained.
  2. Link for contact details: link
  3. Go to the respective office.
  4. Obtain the renewal application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised. Applicant shall get the information from the respective department website too.
  5. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents along with original license issued/granted. Also attach original copies of the Treasury Challans depositing the requisite amount of renewal fees. Please check the required documents section of this page.
  6. Submit the document set to the designated authority. Authority will check he submitted application. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
  7. This application will be processed internally.
  8. Applicant gets notification about the process through their registered mobile number.
  9. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
  10. If the application is found to be correct in all respect then renewed Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.
  11. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.

Note:
  • If no work is executed by the contractor than a no work certificate from the principal employer should accompany the application of Renewal.
  • Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
  • It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.


Apply Online - Renew Contract Labour Licence for Contractor Online with images

  1. Go to the online portal: online portal
  2. In the given page please select “Apply Online” menu and select “The contract Labour (regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970” sub option and then choose “Application for renewal of license issued to the contractor” option to reach a new page.
  3. In the given “Application for Renewal of Licence” page, please enter prompted details as appropriate and click “Verify” button.
  4. Applicant will reach online application form page. Please fill in all the relevant details as per page prompts.
  5. Upload required documents as per the prompt and click applicable button at the bottom of the page.
  6. Please follow the resulting page prompts to make payment and submit the application using the applicable button.
  7. A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  8. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
  9. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
  10. If the application is found to be correct in all respect then renewed Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.
  11. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any entrepreneur/applicant having a valid license of a contractor can apply for renewal
  • Applicant should not be convicted (at any time during a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application)

  • Security deposit as advised by authorities for each workman to be employed as contract labour shall be deposited.

  • Every licence granted is valid for twelve months from the date it is granted.

InstructionsEdit

  • The licence is non-transferable.
  • The number of workmen employed as contract labour in the establishment shall not on any day, exceed the mentioned numbers as per application.
  • The fees paid for the grant of the licence shall be non-refundable.
  • The rates of wages payable to the workmen by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed for the schedule of employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, where applicable, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement/ settlement or award, not less than the rates fixed.
