Apply Online

  1. To Apply for Temporary Permit, the applicant has to use the following link :link
  2. Enter the registration number select the state and RTO office and then click the “PROCEED” button.
  3. Now the applicant needs to select the online service.
  4. Enter the related service details and click the “PROCEED” button.
  5. Enter the mobile number and click “Generate OTP”.
  6. The applicant has to enter the OTP from the given mobile number and click the “Login” button.
  7. Now, the applicant has to select the “Temporary Permit” from the following option.
  8. The applicant has to complete the application form by entering all the details in each section.
  9. Also, upload all necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  10. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit Details” button.
  11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  13. Once the process is completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  14. The applicant has to visit the office to collect the permit.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 15- 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  4. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for the process

  7. Important verification for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Seating arrangements, Body built etc.. will be carried by authorities.
  8. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed further.

ValidityEdit

  • Usually temporary permit is valid for 4 months(17 weeks) and can be renewed for a maximum of one year.
  • Renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO.
  • The age of the vehicle also limits the validity.
