Procedure

• The “Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET)” is conducted by the Centralized Admission Cell, Department of Public Instruction to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
• There will be an official notification release by the respective board for KARTET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the KARTET.

Apply Online

1. The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
2. In the given page, please scroll down and click on the “Online Application for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test – 2021” (The option may change as per the year for which the test is conducted) option under “Latest News” section to reach the “Application for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) – 2021” page.
3. Here, please scroll down and click on the “New User” button to reach the “User Registration” page.
4. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Please enter the phone number and Email ID correctly and click on the “SAVE” button to reach the next screen. This screen will have “User Name” and “Application No” at the top.
5. The applicant shall complete the prompts for the “Personal Details”, “Education” and “Eligibility Test Paper” section one by one and click on the “SAVE” button at the bottom.
6. Under the “Photo and Sign” section please upload the photo and signature as appropriate to get a popup with a message “Image Uploaded Successfully”. Please click on the “OK” button and click on the “Declaration” section button to reach the declaration section.
7. Please click on the checkbox for the declaration and click on the “Submit” button.
8. Under the “Payment” section, please click on the “Pay Now” button to reach the payment gateway page.
9. Please process the page requirements as appropriate to make online payment. The application can be printed using the “Print” section to get the printout of the application for future reference.
10. This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

Eligibility

• The candidate should be the citizen of India.
• The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
• For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
• Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
• Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.

Fees

• Please pay as per the fees requirement notified.

Validity

• The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
