Procedure

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Electrical Wireman License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. From the licensing menu, the applicant has to select the Electrical Wireman permit and click the “Fresh” option.
3. Now, the applicant has to read all the terms and conditions of the licensing process and click the “Next” button.
4. Enter the mobile number and click the “Get OTP” button.
5. Enter the OTP from the given mobile number and click the “Verify” button.
6. The applicant has to enter all the details in the application form.
7. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. After completing click the “Save” button.
9. The reference code will be generated save it for further reference and click the “Ok” button.
10. Now the applicant has to click the “Pay” option.
11. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
12. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
13. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
14. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
15. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
16. The applicant will be required to take a written or practical examination to assess his/her knowledge and skills in electrical work.
17. If the applicant passes the examination, the applicant will be issued the Electrical Wireman License by the concerned licensing authority or state electricity board office.
18. This entire process can be completed within 15-30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In Person:

1. To Apply for Electrical Wireman License in India, the applicant has to approach the State Electrical License Board (Electricity Department) link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the fee of Rs. 225
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
12. The applicant will be required to take a written or practical examination to assess his/her knowledge and skills in electrical work.
