Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Electrical Contractor License, the applicant has to approach the Department of Electrical Inspection – link
    • NOTE: Click the contact us in the given below website.
  2. The applicant has to get the form from the following link – link
    • NOTE: For the application form check the page no: 25.
  3. The applicant has read the details in the application form.
  4. Enter all the details in the application form.
  5. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents which is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Submit the completed form along with the documents to the respective officer.
  7. Pay the fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  8. Once the verification process gets done by the officer, the applicant gets the notification through the mail or SMS.
  9. The applicant has to visit the office for collecting the contractor license.
  10. The processing time for this procedure is within 15 days.

  • Applicant must have a 10th pass certificate
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen and must have Karnataka residential address
  • Applicant must be above 21 years of age.

  • Electrical Contractor Licence is a necessity for an Electrical contractor for taking up projects like Lift Electrical works etc.
  • The Karnataka Electrical Licensing Board is the only head office that is responsible for issuing new licence and the renewal of all Electrical related licences. There are no other branches.
