- If your permit is lost or stolen, as a first step you would have to contact your local police station where you have to register a FIR which has to be submitted along with your application.
Apply in Person
- To apply for Duplicate Goods Carriage Permit in Karnataka the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office: Contact details

- Respective application form (can be obtained from RTO)
- Make sure that all the required documents are in hand.
- FIR Copy - A certificate to the effect that the permit was lost or non-traceable issued by the Station House Officer concerned should be submitted.
- Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented along with documents and appropriate fees.
- Officials would start processing your application.
- After checking the documents and vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

- Owner of the vehicle.
- The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years.

ValidityEdit
- The validity of permit doesn’t change.
- Permit is usually valid for 5 years .
- The age of the vehicle is also considered to restrict the validity of the permit.
- The renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO.
- NOTE: Validity differs with the type of vehicle and also for the load the vehicle can manage.
