Jordan - Obtain License to Home Physically Challenged

The applicant should contact the Ministry of Social Development for obtaining the license.
The applicant should submit all the documents that are listed under Required Documents section of this page.
A committee is formed to validate the documents that are submitted and to validate the premises to make sure it adheres to the standards that are need to be followed.
The Ministry will grant the applicant a temporary license of six months during which it remains under probation. The license may be renewed through an application to the concerned directorate a month before the end of the probation period. If no such application is made or the probation period expires, the license is cancelled by law.
If an application for permanent license has been made the authorities will validate the documents presented and the visit the premises to make sure all the standards have been followed, if the standards have been followed the license will be provided.

Copy of the family book, certified by the Civil Status and Passports Department.
Certificate of Non-Criminal Record, certified by court.
Medical report stating applicant is free of diseases, certified by the Ministry of Health.
Name(s) of person(s) authorized signature on behalf of the institution/center.
Three copies of the institution/centers internal bylaws along with the original form. Copies are to be kept as follows: one copy at the concerned Directorate of Social Development, a copy at the Directorate of Special Education and a copy in the centers file at the Ministry.

Documents related to the building

Certified copy of the deed of ownership, if the founder owns the building; if the building were rented, a certified copy of the lease contract would suffice, certified by the municipality, town hall or other specialized bodies.
Certified copy of the building license as per the area (Municipiality of Greater Amman or ASEZA), duly certified from the specialized party.
Certified copy of occupational permit; construction blueprint of building to be licensed, with all measurements and dimensions of rooms, halls, corridors and utilities.
Report of the Ministry of Health physician stating building is compliant to health and hygiene measures.

The applicant must be a Jordanian national; a non-Jordanian applicant needs the approval of authorized parties.
