Jordan - Obtain License for Business of Vehicle Transport

Procedure

1. The applicant should approach the Directorate of Companies licensing and complete the appropriate form.
2. The applicant should submit the completed application form along with required documents.
3. The applicant should also pay appropriate fees for the authorities to visit and analyze the premises for which the business has been planned.
4. After validating the documents presented the authorities will pay a visit to the premises to make sure it adhere to the required standards.
5. If they are satisfied with the standards that has been followed the authorities will inform to the minister in-charge of the same.
6. The minister would validate all the documents that has been provided and if he is satisfied with the data provided the license will be approved and the applicant has to pay the appropriate fees.

Required Documents

• Service application form duly filled
• Recent commercial register from the Ministry of Industry and Trade shows purposes and capital and the names of the partners and authorized persons for signature and management.
• Certified lease contract or ownership deed of the company office and trucks bed yards.
• Copy of the national ID card and scientific qualification of the director.
• Disclosure from the department of Drivers and Vehicles Licensing of truck numbers shows ownership, usage class and license expiration date in accordance with the approved form.
• Organizational chart from the municipality or the Secretariat of the truck bed yards.
• Certificate of the Social Security Institute or certified work contracts for the employees

Eligibility

• Registered capital is at least (100,000) one hundred thousand Jordanian Dinars (JOD).
• The number of refrigerator trucks owned by the company / institution requesting the license is at least (10) trucks and the trucks should meet the required specifications and having valid licenses.
• Financial guarantee letter for a period of one year of the value of (10,000) ten thousand Jordanian dinars for the benefit of the ministry which is unconditional and payable on demand in accordance with the approved form.

Fees

1. One hundred (100) JOD fee to issue the license for the first time
2. Thirty (30) JOD for physical inspection
3. Two hundred (200) piaster inward stamps

Validity

One year.
