Jordan - Apply for Passport for the First Time

Go to the Department of Civil Status and passports Department offices for issuing of passports or Jordanian embassies abroad for Jordanian citizens residing outside the country.
Fill out a passport application form.
Present the required documents.
The applicant must submit the application to the Admissions Officer on the counter so that his data will be audited and compared with the information stored in the computer.
The applicant must pay the legal fees.
The new data will be stored after auditing and verification.
The document requested will be printed.
The document will be signed and stamped by the office Secretary or his assistant.
A copy of the financial receipt will be attached upon delivery of the document to the applicant.

Details of the military recruitment and mobilization with the application or present the military service book that has been postponed or termination certificate for males who are required to serve the military or termination certificate for his services as a backup.
Written consent from the applicants employer to get a passport for military workers as well as for his wife if he works the Jordan armed forces (army).
family book (if the applicant is a woman married to a Jordanian or non-Jordanian)
an official proof from the Miss or widower or divorcee, that she is not married up to the date of application (on the same passport form)
consent of a parent for minors, custody proof for a divorcee and tutelage of argument for the widower
statistics yellow bridge card and a copy of the Palestinian or Israeli card, or Details for the department of follow-ups and inspection for those who need it

The processing time for passport application is 1 to 1.5 hours from the time of paying the fees.

The application or request must be done by the applicant personally to the passports file office or as per his place of residency identified in his ID card.
The head of household is the one who must apply for a passport for the first time to his minor children.
If the applicant was a part of any of the parents passport, then this passport must be brought so that his name would be deleted off of it.
If a parent owns a yellow bridge card he must add his minor children on the Palestinian or Israeli card of the fathers or the mothers.
If the applicant has another nationality, he must present this other passport in order to store the name under other nationalities.
Write a commitment that the applicant does not currently own a Jordanian passport previously (in case he applied for the passport in a different Office of the passport file is).
Applications are received for the passports of expatriate nationals by the Embassy or Consulate of Jordan in the state in which they reside or by the offices of the Department under a special representative of a first-degree relatives and after the approval of the competent security authorities .
Fees are according to the fee system.

Jordanian citizens can have ordinary passport for the first time on the basis of the temporary passports law No. 5 of 2003, and its amendments.
