Procedure

1. Submit the application directly to the Jordanian Embassy or Consulate abroad. It can also be submitted by the applicants parents in the Kingdom to the Minister of Interior, the Department receives a letter from the Ministry of Interior confirming the applicants nationality, since this document is issued only to those who prove their Jordanian nationality, reside abroad, and cannot return to the Kingdom with the passport on which they left.
2. After the response of the department to the Ministers letter, the Jordanian Embassy or Consulate will be informed by the Ministry of Interior of the necessary approval in order for the compulsory document to be issued to its applicant by the Embassy or Consulate.

Note:
A Jordanian citizen may not leave the country except on a valid Jordanian passport, but he/she may return to the country on his/her expired passport or a compulsory travel document.
