Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To get registered as a security guard, the applicant shall visit SECURITY GUARDS BOARD, Department of Labour, Employment & Training.

3. Any person who desires to work as Security Guard shall, after following the procedure prescribed for selection as a Security Guard of the Board and apply for registration to the Board in the form devised by it. Visit the Office and get the Application form from the relevant department to register as a security guard.
4. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.
6. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please get the fee paid receipt and keep it safe for future reference.
7. And your application and attached documents will be passed for verification to check if there is any deficiency.
8. The applicant will be called for a Physical fitness test by the officials.
9. After all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with registration of a security guard.
10. Once the registration process is completed, office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.

• Completed Application form
• ID Proof- Aadhar/ Voter id/ Driving license/ Passport id
• Certificate of Minimum 60 days working experience.
• Certificate of Qualifying Physical Measurement and Physical efficiency Test
• Sworn Affidavit by the applicant.
• Character and Antecedent Certificate.
• Copy of Details of Arms licenses.
• Four coloured photographs (from all angles)
• Separate Character Verification Report confirming that they have no criminal record .
• Payment receipt

Eligibility

• Any person who wishes to register as a security guard can apply.
• Any person who has zero criminal record.
• Any person who has a valid arms license.
• The qualifications for new registration shall be such as may be specified by the Board having regard to local conditions, physical fitness, capacity or experience.
• No person other than a citizen of India shall be eligible for registration,

Fees

• A registration fee of rupees one thousand shall be paid.
  

Validity

• The registration is valid for 5 years after which it should be renewed for another 5 years with prescribed fee and documents.
