Jharkhand - Obtain Economically Weaker Section Certificate (EWS or GEN-EWS)

The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an income and asset certificate issued by a respective authority.
Apply In-Person

To apply, applicant has to go to the thasildhar office. Link for contact : link please click on the respective district names to reach the website of the respective district. In the given page select “Directory” menu option and select the respective option provided to get the contact details. (If the directed page shows error message then, add https:// before the name of the district as per the given page. E.g. if the www.bokaro.nic.in/ page shows error message then type ”http://www.bokaro.nic.in/” to open it.
Application form can be obtained from the office while you visit. Applicant can also download the form through the link provided in our document session.
Complete the form. Affix the passport size photo. Attach all the required documents and submit it to the respective receiving authority in the office. (please follow the authorities advise to complete the process, if any revenue stamp to be affixed – please affix as advised).
Applicant should provide mobile number to get SMS alerts about status. Authorities will check for the details and documents. Documents will be cross verified with originals. So, carry originals while applying. If all are in place, this application request will be entered in the respective registry or in the computer for further processing.
A reference number will be given to the applicant for the application submitted. Keep it safe for future reference.
Authorities will also mention a approximate date for issuance of certificate.
Thasildhar will process the application through his authorities. The internal processing such as verification/Inspection/authenticity of the documents submitted will take place.
Besides verification of village/area accounts, administrative officers should conduct local enquiry. The revenue inspector and the deputy thasildhar should also conduct a discreet enquiry before recommending the EWS certificate.
If the results are satisfactory, thasildhar will decide on the issuance of certificate.
Once the certificate is ready, applicant will be notified to collect the certificate from the office.
This certificate will have the declaration from the authority undersigned with valid timeline and photo of the applicant.
On the said date collect the certificate from the respective office where the applicant applied. Applicant has to sign in the registry and receive the certificate.

Note:

Soon after issue of the income and asset certificate, all such certificates will be uploaded on the district website.

This certificate is subjected to cancellation, if any of the provided document Or information is fabricated in order to get the benefits.

In the given page, please select “Register Yourself” option to Register yourself popup. Please complete the prompted details and click “SUBMIT” button to register and then login.
If you are a registered user, then use the “Login” button in the home page. In the login popup please enter the login credentials at the prompted space and complete other prompts as appropriate and click “LOG IN” button.
Now select “View all available services” under “Apply for services” section
Now type the service name “ews” in the search box at the right side of the page and click on the “Income and Asset Certificate for EWS” service to get next page.
Applicant shall select “Normal” or “Tatkal” as per choice and follow the page prompt to complete online application form.
Please complete the prompts as appropriate for all sections. Upload passport size photograph at the prompted space.
Now enter the verification text in the textbox and click “Submit” button.
Applicant will get preview of the filled application. Please use the “Edit” button in case of any modification or else use the “Attach Annexure” button.
In the resulting page please upload address proof, Identity proof and the self-declaration form that was scanned previously and click “Save Annexure” button to get final preview of application form.
Please click “Submit” button.
On successful submission an Acknowledgement slip will be generated which will be available in your view application status. It can be downloaded and printed for offline reference. Keep it safe for future reference.
This application will be processed and the status of application will be notified through SMS to the registered mobile number.
Now application will be processed by respective department.
Applicant gets update of the application status in his mobile through SMS.
Please follow department guidelines to get certificate as per deliverable norms.
A SMS conformation containing application reference number will be send to the applicant mobile number as mentioned in the form.
Applicant shall use the application reference number to track the application through online portal.
A SMS will be sent to the applicant after issue / reject of the application. Applicant can download the certificate using “Track Application Status” option.

Applicant from general category.
Family income below 8 lakhs INR or as per state norms.
Family owned agricultural land less than 5 acres.
Residential flat owned by family which is less than 1000 sq.ft.
Residential plot less than 100 sq. Yards and 200 sq. Yards in selected municipalities as per the state norms.
