Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Change Address in Ration Card, applicants shall approach their respective civic agencies (municipal/corporation/local body) of their respective area from whom the ration card was obtained.
2. Find contact details of the respective offices given below in the “Office Location”. Also find it in this link:Link.
3. Meet the respective authority at the office. The applicant shall get the advice from the authority to be followed in order to register the change of address.
4. Collect the applicable application form.
5. Submit the completed application form along with required documents, as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section for showing proof of change in residential address.
6. Authorities will check the submitted application and announce the fees / charges.
7. Please pay and get the receipt. Follow up with the authorities for notification regarding the status of the application.
   
   

Apply Online:

1. To Change Address in Ration Card in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the following webpage: Link.
2. Now click on the "Ration Card" option and proceed.
3. A new page will open up, where the applicant needs to log in using their login credentials.
4. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option for making amendments in the Ration Card and proceed further.
5. On a newly opened page, the applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details and complete the given application form.
6. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the " Required Documents" for further processing.
7. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
8. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
9. On successful verification, the changes will be made.
10. Obtain the original card from the concerned office.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Change Address in Ration Card in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Eligibility

• A valid ration card holder.
• The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
• The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
• The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
• New born above 5 years
• Addition of member name after marriage

Validity

• Validity remains same
• Usually Family identity card is valid for lifetime and will be renewed in 5 years or based on announcement.
