  • The below explained are general procedure and steps that describes the way a NOC for a vehicle that has been obtained from a place can be cancelled. The places that are mentioned below are as examples.
  • If you have obtained a NOC from Jharkhand to transfer your vehicle to New Delhi

Process in New Delhi RTO

  1. You have to approach the RTO in New Delhi to request for a Non-Utilization Certificate (if NOC is less than 3 months else need to pay road tax as advised to get it)
  2. Please make sure you have all the documents required to process the application
  3. After the documents are submitted, you might be requested to pay road tax. Depending upon on the RTO, you might as well be request to pay for one year road tax too.
  4. After paying road tax, you would probably get the Non-Utilization Certificate in next day or in couple of weeks.

Process in Jharkhand RTO

  1. To cancel the NOC for vehicle in Jharkhand the applicant has to approach the RTO office in which he obtained the NOC.

  4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down in the “Required Document” section of this page.
  5. Make sure you are eligible to apply
  6. Apply by writing a letter requesting cancellation of NOC and submit with appropriate fees (as advised) in one of the counter where the officials would start processing your application.
  7. By doing this you are requesting the Jharkhand RTO to cancel the NOC that has been issued earlier for your vehicle.
  8. Pencil tracing of engine chassis number is the activity to record the chassis number against the registration number in the RTO register
  9. Authorities will inspect the vehicle
  10. Upon satisfaction of details and verification, authorities will process the request to cancel the NOC

Apply through Centres:

  1. To Cancel a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Vehicle in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
  6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

  1. A letter requesting Non-utilization certificate for cancellation of NOC
  2. Original RC book
  3. Valid Insurance copy (third party liability insurance is adequate).
  4. PUC certificate copy (pollution under control)
  5. An affidavit from the owner of the vehicle stating that
  6. He has not registered the vehicle in new state
  7. Misused the NOC / the vehicle From the date of obtaining the NOC
  8. Police verification certificate from New state police commissioner office (Usually this is obtained from city police crime branch head office).
  9. Original NOC documents (two copies issued at native state RTO, without this document the process can’t be taken further).
  10. ID proof (Pan card etc.).
  11. Aadhaar card

ValidityEdit


  • NOC is valid forever
  • But the cancellation of NOC obtained will have period for which the registration process has to start by the authorities (mostly immediate) and the applicant has to adhere
