Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Approach the Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) to collect the Application form or download it form the link: Link or Link
2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details. Contact link: Link
3. Fill in the form and submit it at the respective office along with the required documents.
4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
5. The applicant will be contacted by respective officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
6. Once verification and payment procedure is successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.
   

Apply Online: - Apply for Temporary Electricity Supply Online with images

1. To apply online for temporary electricity connection navigate to the link: Link
2. Click on “Consumer Services”, “New Connection” and choose appropriate connection option.
3. Login using your valid credentials, or register in case of new user.
4. An application form with respect to the choose application will appear on the screen. Fill out the application form and upload required documents.
5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant will be contacted by JBVNL officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
7. Once verification is successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC), the applicant shall visit the website in the link provided:Link
2. The applicant shall log in through the web portal mentioned under the "Login" option and provide the required information for the process.
3. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option to obtain the certificate and proceed further.
4. The applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details on a newly opened page and complete the given application form.
5. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
6. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
7. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
8. On successful verification, the certificate will be issued by the authority.
9. Obtain the certificate from the concerned office or the portal.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Apply for Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Required Documents

• Proof of current address (Any one: Water Bill, Passport copy(first & last page), Telephone (landline or post paid mobile bill, Rent agreement (notarized), Aadhar Card, Income tax assessment order, photo passbook or running bank account, election commission photo ID card, proof of gas connection)
• Identity Proof *(.pdf) (Any one: Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter Card, Driving License, Passport etc.)
• Proof of ownership/occupancy of premises i.e sale deeds, record of rights (documents with details of the property), property tax receipts, and government survey documents etc.

(Any other document required shall be submitted as per the JSERC Supply Code Regulations, 2015 and its further amendments).

Processing Time

The date of availing the temporary supply may be got amended by the consumer, by applying to the authority who has issued the orders before the commencement date indicated in the order. However, any alternate date proposed shall commence within 15 days of the date of the first order.
