Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Electrical Contractor License, the applicant has to approach the Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited link
2. Application form for electrical contractor license is available in the Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited website.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. Applicant must provide all information that are requested in the application form.
5. Applicant should carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing the procedure.
6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
8. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
9. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their license.
10. After getting the notification, applicant can visit the office to get their license.
11. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 3 months.

If there is no update regarding the license is provided by concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Electrical Contractor License in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the website in the link provided:Link
2. The applicant shall log in through the web portal mentioned under the "Login" option or else click on the "Registration" and provide the required information for the process.
3. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option to obtain the license and proceed further.
4. The applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details on a newly opened page and complete the given application form.
5. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
6. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
7. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
8. On successful verification, the license will be issued by the authority.
9. Obtain the license from the concerned office or the portal.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Apply for Electrical Contractor License in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Eligibility

• Applicant must have a 10th pass certificate
• Applicant must be an Indian citizen and must have Assam residential address
• Applicant must be above 21 years of age.

Validity

The licence is valid for 65 years of age of the licence holder.
