Jharkhand - Apply for Drug License (Retail and Wholesale - Pharmacy)

No individual can start or continue a business dealing drugs / cosmetics / medicine in India, unless an appropriate license is obtained from the designated authority.
As different state has different parameters and regulations, as a first step applicant shall consult their local drug license authority to get advice on
- Any updated rules and regulations in issuance of license.
- Update on drugs that were included in the list for which license can’t be obtained.
- Fees payment type etc.

Apply Online:

In the next page use the login credentials and hit “Login” tab to login.
1. If you are a new user then use the “New Registration” option to register and then login.
Once login, please select the respective option to fill submit application in order to obtain licence.
Applicant shall follow the page prompt in completing the personal details, details of competent person, address details of premises, Uploading the required documents and completion of payment by uploading the required details.
Applicant will get acknowledgement for the online application submitted successfully. Please keep it safe for future reference.
This application will be processed further.
Applicant gets notification about the process updates.
Drug inspector will inspect the premises for verifying the correctness.
After the inspection is over, Competent person will be asked to report for interview.
Once all the above process are over Drugs Controller will grant the License. A hard copy of the License can be collected from the respective Drugs Controller office..

Please hit “Login” option on the top right corner of the page to get next page for existing users.
In the given page please click on the drop down list for “State” and choose “Jharkhand” and complete the prompts as appropriate. Once done hit “Submit” to reach next page.
1. If you are a new user, then use the “New Login ID & PWD” option below Login option on the top right corner to get next page. Please follow the screen instructions to register and then login.
Once login user can change the password and update details as per the page option.
Once the details are entered for user registration, User shall process his /her online application.

Note:

Fee payment for the license is accepted in different formats like challan/cheque as applicable. Applicants are advised to take the consultation with the respective drug license authority for your area to prepare fees requirement.

Apply In-Person:

In order to apply for drug license (retail And wholesale pharmacy) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall make an application to be submitted at the Drugs Controller Office
Make sure to have all the "Required Documents" as mentioned
Now procure a challan in favour of the Drugs Controller Office as may be directed by the concerned office.
Now, submit all the documents and challan along with the application to the concerned authority.
The Drugs Controller will scrutinise the application and the treasury challan.
On successful application, the applicant will be notified for further proceeding.

Apply through Centres:

To Apply for drug license (retail And wholesale pharmacy) in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.
