Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.

Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, Meter for fare, Seating arrangements etc.; will be carried by authorities.
After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

Apply Online:

To Apply for Auto Rickshaw temporary Permit in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the following webpage: Link.
Now click on the "Permit" option and proceed.
A new page will open, where the applicant must log in using their login credentials.
After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option for the process.
On a newly opened page, the applicant shall fill the application form with all the necessary details and complete the given application form.
Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
On successful verification, the permit will be issued.
Obtain the permit from the concerned office.

Apply through Centres:

To Apply for auto rickshaw temporary permit in Jharkhand, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the card.
Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.
Insurance Certificate.
Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
Affidavit Sworn by the applicant before an Executive (or) a First Class Judicial Magistrate (or) Notary Public
Passport size photo-2
Pollution under control certificate
Proof of Address (any one of the following to be produced)

Need for the DocumentEdit

Temporary Permits are effective for a limited period which shall not in any case exceed four months, to authorize the use of a transport vehicle temporarily For the conveyance of passengers on special occasions such as
- To and from fairs and religious gatherings
- For the purposes of a seasonal business,
- To meet a particular temporary need
Auto rickshaw Permit is needed for an Auto rickshaw owner to carry passengers on a hire basis from one point to another.
Auto Rickshaw is a three wheeler vehicle constructed or adapted to carry allowed number of passengers excluding the driver for hire.
The permit also grants the holder to pick passengers in his Auto Rickshaw under the designated area with fares fixed by government on timely basis.
