ProcedureEdit

  • Farmer widow pension is a State scheme under which wives (widow) of farmers who have committed suicide or died in accidents get a monthly pension.
  • It is a routine job of local revenue authorities to identify the beneficiaries for this scheme by conducting ward Sabah / Gram Sabah / through camps at regular intervals.


Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Farmer Widow Pension, the applicant has to approach the District Social Welfare (DSWO) or Tehsil Social Welfare Officer – link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or it can be downloaded from the following link – link link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. #If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. Once all the process gets completed, the beneficiary shall be issued a Pension Passbook.
Note:
  • Applicant has to bring original documents to the applying office while applying for cross verification purpose and scanning if required.
  • Without cross signature on photograph and signature on the undertaking, the application will be rejected.
  • Applicant may be asked to apply with the specific format as advised by the respective benefit providing government departments.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Applicant should be the resident of the respective State (Number of year limitation vary from State to State).
  • Wives of farmers who have committed suicide are eligible to apply.
  • The age of the applicant should be 18 years and above.
  • The beneficiary should not be enrolled in any other social security pension scheme or should not be a pensioner in any of the public or private pension schemes.
  • The beneficiary should not be earning more than Rs. 1.5 Lakh (or the amount fixed by respective State) annually in rural areas and Rs. 2.0 Lakh (or the amount fixed by respective State) in urban areas.

  • Any wrongful identification and certification of beneficiaries shall attract severe disciplinary action against the concerned.
  • Do not submit fake documents as proof to get sanction.
  • Incomplete application will be rejected.
  • Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
  • Applicant will be penalized if any information provided by the applicant while applying for this scheme is being found false or incorrect.
  • The pension will be discontinued if the candidate gets remarried.
