Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for registration of Jet Skies, you should submit your application to the Maritime Authority of Jamaica (MAJ), you can view MAJ’s contact details through this link: Link
2. Obtain the application form for Jet Ski registration form the MAJ website: Link(Application for Jet Ski Registration) or download it directly via this link:Link
3. Complete the application form accordingly and have it witnessed by a Justices of the Peace (JP) or a Notary Public or person authorized by law to administer oaths. Note that you should select Jet Ski in section two of the form
4. Prepare all the required documents as mention in the application form under Registration of a Jet Skis
5. Confirm that your application is complete and then book an online appointment to visit the MAJ office for registration of the ski via this link:Link
6. On the date of the appointment, visit the office and submit the complete application to the MAJ assisting officer who will validate your application and then issue you an invoice to pay for the registration fee
7. Pay the registration fee using the MAJ online payment platform through this link:Link Select Invoice service payment
8. Once you have paid, the application will be processed and you will be issued a registration certificate of the Jet Ski

    • Jamaican Passport
    • Drivers License
  • For Entities:
    • Certificate of Incorporation
    • Notice of Directors
    • Good Standing
• Payment of fees
• Tourism Product Development Company Consent for Operation (Commercial Vessels).
• Evidence of Insurance coverage to be submitted after Registration (Private)

• All Jet Skies are eligible for registration

Fees

• Registration fee details are indicated on the payment invoice

Validity

• Registration is valid for the life time of the jet ski unless there is change of ownership
