Apply In-Person
- To register a limited use pesticide, you should submit your application to the Registrar's office at the Pesticides Control Authority (PCA). Please view the PCA’s contact information through this link: Link
- Obtain the application form for registration of minor use pesticide from the PCA office or download the form directly via this link:Link You can also obtain the checklist for the required supporting documents from the PCA’s office
- Complete the application form correctly. Note the form should be completed by a Jamaican National or a company registered in Jamaica.
- Prepare a copy of the pesticide label:Link and a Material Safety Data Sheet along with the required supporting documents and attach them to the complete application form in a single file
- Visit the PCA’s office and submit your complete application to the registrar’s office for processing
- The registrar will receive your application and assess if the application is complete. Note the incomplete applications will not be accepted
- If the application is accepted, you will be directed to pay the registration fee to the ministry of health cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
- Take the payment receipt to the PCA Registrar’s office for filing
- Then your application will be scrutinized by a resource person to determine if it meets the required standards and forwards their recommendation to the PCA
- Based on the recommendations, the PCA will decide to reject the registration or approve the registration
- If approved the PCA will contact and inform you of the conditions of the registration and then you will be issued a registration certificate
