Jamaica - Online Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to apply for Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
- Step 2 : To apply for TRN online, visit the TAJ Website : Apply Online
- Step 3 : Log in to the TAJ Web Portal by clicking on the “Login” tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

- Step 4 : If you already have an account Enter your “Username” and “Password” and click on “Sign In” Button which is highlighted in “Red”.If you are a new user then click on “Create Account” hypertext which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to setup your account.

- Step 5 : On the new page, fill the required fields and click on “Save” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 6 : You will then receive a notice thanking you for creating your account, and issue your account password, and that the password has been sent to your email address as well as it will be displayed in that same page which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow in the below image.

- Step 7 : Enter the “Username” and “Password” and click on the “Sign In” Tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

- Step 8 : Read and agree to the policy by clicking on the “I Agree” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 9 : You will be directed to the next page where you will be asked a password reminder question. Answer the question and click on “Save” which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image then you will be directed into your account’s e-service portal.

- Step 10 : Scroll down and select Apply for a TRN Button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 11 : You will be directed to a default “Instructions” page giving basic information about the service, what will be needed, and what to expect at the end of the process and read information provided.

- Step 12 : Atlast click on “Next” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to proceed futher.

- Step 13 : In the new page, select the type of your application and click on “Generate application” which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

- Step 14 : Click on the “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to go to the “Applicants Details” page.

- Step 15 : Now enter all the details in the and click on the “Next>” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 16 : Now you will be redirected to “Contact Details” Section enter all the required details.

- Step 17 : Now click on the “Next>” Button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 18 : In the “Relationships” Section fill all the details and click “Next>” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

- Step 19 : Now it will ask some Employment details in the “Employment Details” Section enter the required information and click “Next>” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 20 : In “Signator” section it will ask Signature information complete it by clicking “Yes” or “No” and then click “Next>” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 21 : In this “Supporting Documents” section enter the required information and upload all the required Documents.

- Step 22 : Click on the “Next>” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 23 : Then review all the information that you have provided and submit your application, upon submit, a confirmation number will be automatically generated and displayed on the screen.
- Step 24 : Select “OK” to return to the e‐Services page, or “Printable View” to print the Confirmation message.
- Step 25 : Upon verification of the application, you should visit the TAJ office with printed copy of the taxpayer Registration Number generated.
- Step 26 : You will also be required to sign the form in the section designated for signature and present it along with the applicable Identification or Supporting Documents as per relevant TRN Requirements.
- Step 27 : Then the TRN card will be processed and issued to you Note that: Applicants submitting applications from outside Jamaica will be required to mail their signed application form and notarized copies (by a Notary Public) of supporting documents to Tax Administration Jamaica and the TRN card will be mailed to them after processing
