Jamaica - Online Pay Online for Motor Vehicle Certificate of Fitness

Step 2 : The office responsible for receiving the motor vehicle certificate of fitness fees in the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ). You can view TAJ’s contact details via this link: Link.To pay for the motor vehicle certificate of fitness online, go to the TAJ website: Online Link

Step 3 : From the home page at the top right-hand side of the page select the option “Client LOGIN” tab which is highlighted in “Red” to be directed to the account logging in page or click on the “Login” tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

Step 4 : If you already have an account Enter your “Username” and “Password” and click on “Sign In” Button which is highlighted in “Red”.If you are a new user then click on “Create Account” hypertext which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to setup your account.

Step 5 : On the new page, fill the required fields and click on “Save” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 6 : You will then receive a notice thanking you for creating your account, and issue your account password, and that the password has been sent to your email address as well as it will be displayed in that same page which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow in the below image.

Step 7 : Enter the “Username” and “Password” and click on the “Sign In” Tab which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

Step 8 : Read and agree to the policy by clicking on the “I Agree” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 9 : You will be directed to the next page where you will be asked a password reminder question. Answer the question and click on “Save” which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image then you will be directed into your account’s e-service portal.

Step 10 : On the e-service pay, scroll to find “Motor Vehicles Fitness Fees” and click on the “Pay Motor Vehicles Fitness Fees” tab which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to proceed to the next page.

Step 11 : On the new page under “Fee Code and description”, click on the “Dropdown” box which is highlighted in “Green” to select your fitness option then enter your Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) and click on “Show Amount” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 12 : You will be directed to the next page where you can view the information regarding your fitness payment and if it is correct, select “Add to Today’s Total Tax” to go to the next page.

Step 13 : On the new page, Today’s Total Tax, confirm the Item Description and Declaration of Review and then click on the “Pay Taxes” button to go to the payment details page.

Step 14 : Review the payment and click on “Confirm” to go to the credit card page.

Step 15 : Enter your credit card details correctly and click on “Pay” and you will be shown a successful payment notification and directed to the payment receipt which will also be sent to your email.

Step 16 : Print the payment receipt for future use.
