Jamaica - Online Apply for Cruise Permit

Step 2 : To apply for a cruising permit online, you have to submit your application online to the Maritime Authority of Jamaica. To submit your application online, visit the MAJ website:Apply Online.

Step 3 : Select “Apply for a Cruising Permit” tab which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to be directed to the permit’s information page.

Step 4 : Read the provided information carefully as you scroll down to click on the “Start Application Process” tab which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

Step 5 : On the new page confirm that you have the required supporting documents for your application and then click on the “Continue” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to proceed to the online form.

Step 6 : Choose to apply for the permit as an “Individual” or a “Company” which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image and proceed with proving all the required information.

Step 7 : If you are certain that you have provided the correct information, click on “Submit Application”.

Step 8 : Upon submission, you will be directed to the next page where you will view a confirmation that MAJ has received your application and you will also see your Application Number.

Step 9 : On this page, you will also be required to choose how you will submit your documents by either a courier or by uploading the documents online.

Step 10 : If you choose “Upload Documents”, you will be required to upload the certificate of registry and the Evidence of inward clearance; in the provided section and then click on “Complete Application”.

Step 11 : You will then be directed on how to pay for the permit using the online platform and once MAJ has confirmed that your application is up to the required standard, they will commence processing the permit.

Step 12 : You can view the progress of your application via the details MAJ will send to your email address upon receipt of your application.

Step 13 : If everything is in order, MAJ will process and issue you the Permit.
