Apply Online

1. The office responsible for providing a letter of good standing for a company is the Companies Office of Jamaica, you can view their contact details and location map through this link: Link
2. You can also obtain a letter of good standing for a company online via the Companies Office of Jamaica online portal by visiting the Companies office of Jamaica website: Link
3. Scroll down to find “REQUEST LETTER OF GOOD STANDING” and click on “GO TO SERVICE” to be directed to the next page
4. Enter the registration number or name of the entity you are interested in obtaining the Letter of Good Standing for a normal search or click the Advance search option for a detailed search at a fee, either way once you have entered the required details, click on “ Start Search” to find the company you are searching for.
5. The system will do a general search according to the details you have provide and you will be directed to page with list of companies that match the information you entered.
6. In the provided list, find the company/ entity you are interested in and left click on it see the company’s details
7. Once opened Click on “Request Letter of Good Standing” and you will be direct to next page where you will be required to login to continue with your application
8. Enter your logging in credential if you already have an account or click on “Sign Up” to create one
9. Enter all the required details in the account subscription page, fill the capture and click on “Next” to go to the disclaimer page, read the provide information and click on “accept” if you agree with the conditions
10. Clink on the “Home” button to go to the home page and restart the process again and when you reach the page where you are required to log in, enter you logging in details and proceed.
11. Once logged in, left click on the company again to view its details and the click on “Request Letter of Good Standing” to go to the next page where you will enter the number of copies you wish to obtain and then Click on “Submit” go the next page.
12. Enter the required details and submit to go to the payment platform where you will see the total amount for the application/request you have made and complete your payment using one of the options provided and click on “Process Order” to submit your complete application
13. Then the details of the application will be sent your email address and the Companies Office of Jamaica will process your application
14. The Letter will be printed on security paper and either couriered to an address specified by you or made available for pick up at the COJ’s office in person or by your repetitive or depending on the method of collection you chose while making your application

Instructions

A user will be able to request a Letter of Good Standing for a company via the website. The user will be informed of whether the company in question is in good standing before they pay for the letter. The Letter will be printed on security paper and either couriered to an address specified by the user or made available for pick up at the COJ’s office.
