How to Apply
You can apply for the eligibility letter in two categories: For the Joint Financed Mortgage Programme (JFMP) and/or Confirmation of loan limit. In both categories, the application has to be made to the National Housing Trust (NHT) office, please view the NHT contact details and location map via this link:Link

For the Joint Financed Mortgage Programme (JFMP)

  1. Once you have submitted an application for the join loan through a Participating institution (PI), the PI will obtain all the required documents from you and submit the to the NHT loan department for processing
  2. Upon receiving the request, the loan department will verify the provided information and documents and if they are correct they will enter the data into their system for processing the eligibility letter
  3. The loan department will process and produce the eligibility letter and issue it to the PI with 24 hours of the application date. The later is valid for six months form the date issued


Confirmation of Loan Limit

  1. An eligibility letter can also be provided by the NHT for applicants requesting information to confirm their loan limit by visiting the NHT loan department through the contacts provided above
  2. Prepare all the required document for your request and go to the NHT office loan department
  3. Submit the documents to the NHT official for verification
  4. The NHT official will confirm that the request is up to the required standards and enter the provided data in to their system
  5. Then the eligibility letter will be prepared and issued to you within the someday. Note that the letter is valid for 6 months form the date issued

Required DocumentsEdit

For confirmation of loan limit:

  • NIS Card for the applicant
  • TRN Card for the applicant
  • Pay slips for the last 3 months
  • Valid identification (up-to-date passport, national voters ID or driver’s license).
  • If there are discrepancies that cannot be addressed based on information provided on the pay slips, the NHT will request that you presented a Verification of Gross Income and Contributions letter from present and past employers

EligibilityEdit

An eligibility letter is a letter issued by the National Housing Trust (NHT) to applicants in these following instances:

  • For the Joint Financed Mortgage Programme (JFMP): this case the institution has to a participating institution and it applies on the behalf of a contributing member
  • For confirmation of loan limit: The applicant must be a contributing member to the NHT

Contributors who have accessed a loan through the JFMP may apply for Contributions Refunds.
