Apply In-Person
- To apply for a Sewerage connection, you should submit your complete application to the National Water Commission (NWC). You can view the NWC contact details via this link:Link
- Obtain the application form for sewerage supply in-person from the nearest NWC Commercial Office or Wastewater Department or request for it through their email address. You can also download the application form from the NWC website: Link (Application & Contract for New Supply and Re-supply) or directly via this link:Link
- Read and complete the application form accordingly then prepare all the required supporting documents for your application and attach them to the form including the associated drawings for the sewerage connection
- Once your application form and all supporting documents have been completed, signed, stamped, and certified where required, you will need to visit the Waste water Department in Kingston, or any NWC Customer Service Centre or Commercial Offices island-wide to submit your complete application
- Once submitted, the NWC will provide you with the application receipt and proceed in conducting due diligence to verify the application
- Once the documents have been confirmed, they will conduct a site inspection on the proposed property to assess the feasibility of providing the service and to verify the information stated regarding the property. Note that this will be done within three working days from the date you submitted your application
- They will review the application and based on the application form and the associated drawings, the NWC Wastewater Department will determine the processing fees that will be charged and issue you an invoice
- Visit an NWC Commercial office and pay the processing fees as stated in the invoice
- After receiving the NWC’s approval for connection,advise NWC two weeks in advance of the intended time for effecting connection so that NWC may prepare for an effective connection
- Then the NWC observes the connection and conducts a testing exercise on the property and if everything is in order, they will proceed with the connection
- Upon the final connection, you should have all other existing septic systems (if any) drawn or cleaned by a cesspool or sewage haulage contractor company and pack the septic system with backfilling material (i.e., dump up the soak-away pit or other septic systems)
Note : That applications must be made by the owner of the premises, however, if you are unable to apply by yourself, you can appoint a representative to complete the process on your behalf. however, the person applying on your behalf must present an authorization letter signed by you and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace (JP), Senior Police Officer at the rank of Corporal or above, Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public,and/or Secretary of State. If the request is on behalf of a company, the letter must be on the company’s letterhead and the company seal affixed.

- You can submit your application online by visiting the NWC website:Link
- Select “APPLY FOR SUPPLY/RESUPPLY” to be directed to the required documents and instructions page
- Read the provided information and make sure you have all the required documents
- Click on the “Apply for Permanent Supply” hyperlink to proceed to the online application form.
- Complete all the sections of the online form and then submit
- You will then be notified with NWC of your application progress and you will be required to submit the supporting documents to the NWC office
- Once submitted, the NWC will provide the application receipt and proceed in conducting due diligence to verify the application

- Proof of Property Ownership:
- Letter from Lawyer with volume and folio number - Attorney’s Stamp must be affixed to letter and must be signed by Attorney. This letter must not be older than six months.
- Title - Where a photocopy of the title is being used, it must be stamped and certified to be a true copy of the original by the Titles Office. The certified copy must not be older than six months.
- Letter from mortgaging companies e.g., NHT, HAJ, VMBS, JNBS, etc. The letter must include the volume and folio numbers where available and the letter must be signed by the Legal Counsel of that institution or such other authorized person.
- Valid Identification i.e., Passport, National ID, or Driver's License.
- Tax Registration Number (T.R.N)
- Payment receipt
- Evidence that water supply is in place e.g., receipt from the deposit paid or a monthly water bill.
- Building or Planning Approval - Required for open lots from the Municipal Corporations
- Authorization letter for representatives
