Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for Product Analysis, you should make your application to the Trade Board Limited (TBL). Please view the TBL Contact details through this link: - TBL Contacts.
  2. Obtain the product analysis form from the TBL office or download it directly via this link: - Product analysis form.
  3. Read and complete the product analysis form as instructed.
  4. Prepare the required supporting documents and information, for example, import entry C78, Commercial Invoice to verify the cost, origin, and type of raw materials.
  5. Then submit the complete product analysis form along with the required supporting documents to the TBL and pay the application fees.
  6. Upon receiving your application, the TBL will schedule an inspection date for your premises.
  7. On the scheduled date, a TBL inspection officer will visit your production facility to verify the analysis or information you provided and to ensure conformity with the outlined production process.
  8. After the inspection of the facility, the TBL will inform you in writing if the product qualifies for preferential treatment, under which agreement(s), and the origin criteria.
  9. If the product analysis conditions are satisfactory to the TBL, they will approve the application.
  10. Once your product analysis has been approved, the TBL will process and issued you the Certificate of Origin.


Apply Online

  1. To apply for the Product Analysis online, you should make your application using the Electronic Single Window portal (Jamaica Single Window for Trade) JSWIFT. Visit the JSWIFT website using this link:- SWIFT website.
  2. On the website click on the “LOGIN” button under the information bar to go to the Sign-in page.
  3. Enter your “Username” and “Password” to log in to your account if you already have an account.
  4. If you don’t have an account, click on this hyperlink “New to JSWIFT? Sign up” at the top right of the Sign-in tab to go to the online registration form (You can refer to Wikiprocedure “Jamaica-How to Register on The Jamaica Single Window for Trade (JSWIFT) As an Individual”).
  5. Once you have obtained your login credentials, visit the JSWIFT login page:- JSWIFT login page and enter your username and password to login into your account.
  6. After you have logged in, complete the product analysis online form.
  7. Enter the required general information and then the Item details, then attach all the required documents.
  8. Proceed to the fees page and pay the product analysis fees using the online system and then submit your application.
  9. After submitting the application, it will be reviewed electronically by a JSWIFT operator to confirm that the online application is completed as required and then the application will be assigned a unique reference number.
  10. You will then be notified of the successful submission of the application through your email account and in your JSWIFT account.
  11. Then the application will then be forwarded electronically to the relevant certification officer at the Trade Board Limited (TBL) office.
  12. The officer will assess the product analysis application to check if it is completed correctly.
  13. Then the TBL will schedule a site visit of your premises of operation to analyse your products.
  14. On the scheduled date, a TBL inspection officer will visit your production facility to verify the analysis or information you provided and to ensure conformity with the outlined production process.
  15. After the inspection of the facility, the TBL will inform you in writing if the product qualifies for preferential treatment, under which agreement(s), and the origin criteria.
  16. If the product analysis conditions are satisfactory to the TBL, they will approve the application and the approval will be updated in JSWIFT.
  17. You will then be notified of the approval through your JSWIFT account and in your email address.
  18. Along with the approval, you will be issued a certificate of origin.
