Apply In-Person
- To apply for the Meals on Wheels feeding programme for the Senior Citizens, you have to be registered with the National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSC) which is an agency of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS). Please view the NCSC contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below
- First, obtain the registration form for senior citizens from any of the NCSC offices
- Complete the application form and attach all the required supporting documents to the form. You will need to provide a document proving your age
- Submit the complete application to the NCSC official at the service desk for verification
- The official will verify your application to determine if it meets the criteria required to be registered as a senior citizen
- After the application is verified and you meet the eligibility criteria for registration, the application will be approved for processing within one day
- The NCSC will register you as a senior citizen and prepare your senior citizen's identity card and issue it to you
- Once registered with NCSC, you can apply for the foods on wheels feeding programme from any on the NCSC office
- The NCSC will assess your vulnerability and needs to determine if you should be enrolled with the programme
- if you are enrolled in the programme, you will be able to get Cooked meals provided on weekdays and food packages on public holidays for the elderly shut-in in the Corporate Area.
Note:that if you are unable to apply for the registration of the NCSC in person, you can send a third party to apply on your behalf. In this case, you must provide them with a certified document that proves your age
