Apply In-Person

  1. To access computer classes as a senior citizen in Jamaica, you need to be registered with the National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSC). Please view the NCSC contact detail in the “office Location and Contacts” section below
  2. First, obtain the registration form for senior citizens from any of the NCSC offices
  3. Complete the application form and attach all the required supporting documents to the form. You will need to provide a document proving your age
  4. Submit the complete application to the NCSC official at the service desk for verification
  5. The official will verify your application to determine if it meets the criteria required to be registered as a senior citizen
  6. After the application is verified and you meet the eligibility criteria for registration, the application will be approved for processing
  7. The NCSC will register you as a senior citizen and prepare your senior citizen's identity card and issue it to you
  8. With the senior citizen's ID, you will be able to go to computer classes offered by the NCSC at the NCSC Secretariat and various Parish Libraries across Jamaica


Note: that if you are unable to apply for the registration of the NCSC in person, you can send a third party to apply on your behalf. In this case, you must provide them with a certified document that proves your age
