Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for Benefit for poor adults under the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH), you should submit your application to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS). Please view the MLSS contact details via this link:Link
  2. Visit the MLSS office in your Parish of residence to complete the application process
  3. You will be required to provide the Demographic and other socio-economic information of your family members and the information will be entered into the Beneficiary Identification System (BIS)
  4. Then the information entered in the BIS will be used to acquire the family’s score from the BIS Proxy Means Test.
  5. If your family gets a score that is at or below the cut-off point established for the benefits you will be selected
  6. After you have been selected, the MLSS will schedule a home visit to verify the information you have provided during the interview process
  7. On the scheduled date, MLSS will send the relevant officials to conduct the due diligence on the information about your family
  8. If the information is verified and you meet the required criteria, you will be registered to begin receiving the grant through the proper channel i.e., bank, post office, or via electronic deposit

  • The Benefits are issued to families for four years, then you are required to re-apply and be reassessed for continued eligibility
