Procedure

1. To apply for the procedure you will need to complete an application. The form may be downloaded from the Firearm Licensing Authority's website, a link is provided under 'Documents to Use' section.
2. The completed application must be submitted directly to the Firearm Licensing Authority, 91A Old Hope Road, Kingston 6 or Shop 9, Bogue City Centre, Montego Bay, St. James.

Need for the Document

The purpose of the Firearms Act (Jamaica, 1967 and amendments) is to control all aspects pertaining to firearms and ammunition. The Act states that individuals are permitted to own and use firearms and ammunition but they must have the requisite licence.
