Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Book an appointment

   (i) During the on-going corona virus epidemic period, the Centre de Gestion Intégrée de service(CGI) advises all applicant to make an appointment booking first, via QUIPUX website link link

   (ii) Click on the far right side of your screen, Make appointment option.

   (iii) You will be redirected to the next page, fill out all mandatory fields accurately {location, under formality select “carte grise”, CGI agency that you wish to fill your application with, date, time, email address, full name, phone number, identification document, document number)

   (iv) Accept terms and conditions then click on “To send” tab.

   (v) You will receive details of your appointment, indicating that it has been taken into account by the CGI DIGITAL.

   (vi) Alternative you can call the CGI toll free number 1320 or (+225) 21006929 to make the booking appointment or for inquires.

2. File your applicant

   (i) Visit the regional integrated Service Management Center (CGI) office, you had book an appointment with at the specific date and time.

   (ii) Approach the Department of transportation service desk and express your interest, fill out the application form accurately.

   (iii) Pick the control ticket service number and wait for your ticket number to be called.

   (iv) Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.

   (v) Payment the application fees at the in-house bank, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.

   (vi) If the attending official is satisfied that all the conditions for filling the application are met you the will be issued with the updated gary card within one day.

Required Documents

1. A legible photocopy of the registration document (presentation of the original) or a loss certificate (original) in case of loss or theft of the registration card,
2. A legible photocopy of the valid identification document (natural person) of the vehicle owner.
3. If the owner is a legal person, a legible photocopy of the valid identification document (natural person) of their legal representative and legible photocopy of the document appropriate to its legal status.
4. The original of the vehicle owner's residence certificate in the new region Registration.
5. A legible photocopy of the valid sticker and technical inspection certificate(presentation of the original),
6. A photocopy of the vehicle owner's CIE or SODECI invoice or the certificate of residence.
7. A legible photocopy of the valid insurance certificate.

Eligibility

• Anyone wishing to change the registration of a vehicle established outside their region hosting their place of residence.

Fees

1. Motorcycle: 10000fr CFA
2. Motor vehicle:

• power less than 8hp = 30000fr CFA
• power equal to 8hp and less than 11hp = 35000fr CFA
• power equal to 12hp and less than 16hp = 40000fr CFA
• power equal to 16hp and more = 45000fr CFA
• Semi-trailer and trailer = 45000fr CFA

Validity

• The Gary card is Valid forever but require update of information, when necessary i.e. (change of colour, upgrade of engine ,change of ownership, change of registration region)

• If all the requirements have been met, the update gary card process shall be carried out, in one working day after the receipt of the application.
