Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant should visit the Ministry of Commerce and industry, Department of Metrology, Quality Control and Fraud Control (DMCQRF), located on the 2nd floor of the Industry building, approach the service desk and express your interest.
2. Submit the written request in duplicate addressed to the Minister of Commerce outlining where the name, company name, address of the workshop (s), the object of the company, the nature of the instruments manufactured or repaired, the applicant's trade register number and a description of the mark, along with the supporting documents (listed below) for verification and processing.
3. Pay the processing fee at the cash counter upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
4. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the conditions are met, as set for the application you will be notified and issued with the certificate of approval.

Required Documents

1. A written request in duplicate addressed to the Minister of Commerce,
2. For balances, only, provide a certificate attesting that they have exercised the trade or carried out an internship for at least 6 months with another balancer or in an approved factory for the manufacture of measuring instruments.
3. An extract from the criminal record.
4. Identification document
5. A rectangular metal plate 10 centimeters wide, 7 centimeters high and 1 millimeter thick bearing

   • (Top), written crosswise, the name, company name, address of the applicant as well as the category of instruments manufactured or repaired.
   • (below), the mark reproduced at least twice under the conditions of its affixing on the instruments (striking, engraving, etc.); in accordance with laws n ° 62-214 of June 26, 1962, itself defining the units of measurement and regulating the instruments of measurement in Côte d'Ivoire.
