Procedure

How to Apply
A. Post-paid payment methods.

• Post-paid Customer’s subscribers with Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE)upon receiving monthly electricity bill for service rendered by the company are required to pay for their electricity bill in time through the following methods of payment

1. Cash Payment

   • Subscribers of Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) can make cash payments at private vending station (PDS’) authorized pay points which are located countrywide or at any CIE branch offices near you at the paying counters clearly marked CASHIER.

2. Bank Payments

   • you can pay your electricity bill at any branch of the following banks countrywide (list below),visit any of the bank branches and make payment, CIE account number can be obtain from the banks.(Atlantic bank, Eco bank, NSIA bank)

3. Cheque Payments

   • Cheques may be deposited in designated boxes in pay centres and at specific business premises appointed by Kenya CIE to serve as drop-off points or atany CIE branch offices near you, drop the cheque at check box, revisit the CIE office within 2 days to collect the receipt.

4. Mobile app

   • Payment can be made via the following mobile service providers (Orange money, MTN mobile money, yup, BNI)

B. Pre-paid top-up methods

• Pre-paid Customer’s subscribers with Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) to purchase electricity token/credit in advance through the following methods of payment

1. Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) Agent

   • Subscribers of Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE)can buy prepaid credits/token at any of CIE offices or accredited private vending station located country wide.

2. Mobile app

   • Electricity token/credit can be purchased via the following mobile service providers and App (Orange money, MTN mobile money, yup, BNI)

   • Amount to be paid is indicated on the monthly electricity invoice

2. Pre–paid subscribers

   • Token/credit amount that the subscriber wish to purchase

Validity

• The bill is valid for one month

• To avoid power disconnection in one’s premise or business residence by the Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE), customers are advised to pay their electricity bill on time or purchase their electricity token/credit on time to enjoy the services.
