Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Book an appointment

   (i) During the on-going corona virus epidemic period, the Centre de GestionIntégrée de service(CGI) advises all applicant to book an appointment via QUIPUX website link Appointment

   (ii) Click on the far right side of your screen, Make appointment option.

   (iii) You will be redirected to the next page, fill out all mandatory fields accurately (location, under formality select “permis de conduire”, select the CGI agency that you wish to fill your application with, date, time, email address, full name, phone number, identification document, document number)

   (iv) Accept terms and conditions then click on “To send” tab.

   (v) You will receive details of your appointment, indicating that it has been taken into account by the CGI.

   (vi) Alternative you can call the CGI toll free number 1320 or (+225) 21006929 to make the booking appointment or for inquires.

2. File your applicant

   (i) Visit the regional integrated Service Management Center (CGI) office, you had booked an appointment with at the specific date and time.

   (ii) Approach the Department of transportation service desk and express your interest, fill out the application form accurately.

   (iii) Pick the control ticket service number and wait for your ticket number to be called.

   (iv) Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.

   (v) Payment the application fees at the in-house bank, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.

3. Obtaining a certificate of competence (C of C)

   (i) When an applicant is satisfied that he can take a driving test, he shall be required to book for a test stating the date, and time and location he/she would like to go for the driving test. A test booking certificate shall be issued upon payment of the prescribed exam fee.

   (ii) The driving tests are conducted by driving test examiners (CGI) and shall include a test of the applicant’s.

   (a) Knowledge of the rules of road;

   (b) Knowledge of recognized road signals and road signs;

   (c) Knowledge of any authorized road or Highway Code; and

   (d) Physical fitness to drive a motor vehicle of the class for which the license is required.

   (ii) Once an applicant has passed a driving test, he/she shall be issued with a certificate of competence (C of C) indicating the class or classes of motor vehicle he is permitted to drive.

4. Collect your driver’s licence

• After lodging the application and passing the driving test ,the drivers licence will be ready for collection within one working day, re-visit the CGI office you had initially file the application with your identification document and collect your license.

1. A legible photocopy of the valid identification document (presentation of the original),
2. The original copy of authorization to convert the military certificate issued by the Administration in charge Road Transport,
3. The original copy of the body attestation,
4. A legible photocopy of the military certificate (presentation of the original)

• Exam fees 3,500 FCFA

• The licence is valid for one year and renewable
