Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for New Adult Passport, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Post all the documents to the address mentioned in the application form.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested. The fee details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. After you’ve paid and submitted your application, you’ll need to ask someone to confirm your identity.
  10. Let the person know that they’ll receive an email from HM Passport Office telling them what to do. They’ll confirm your identity online
  11. After the person you asked has confirmed your identity, you’ll receive an email explaining what documents you need to send and where to send them.
  12. After you apply, you may be asked to attend an interview.
  13. The entire process can be completed within 8 to 10 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • A receipt Bank ( Ecobank or BACI )
  • An identity for the application form duly completed and signed by the applicant cameras;
  • A photocopy of the national identity card (NIC ) or original attestation identity valid ;
  • The original certificate of nationality orange for the original Ivorians born in Cte d' Ivoire or white for the Ivorian origin born abroad or Ivorian adoption or naturalization ;
  • The original of the extract of birth without validity period ;
  • A photocopy of the national identity yellow or green card or copy of the certificate of identity of one parent without validity period;
  • The old passport for those who have.

For minorsEdit

  • A parental authorization signed and authenticated by the parent whose identity is attached to the file .

For children over 13 years , in addition to parental consent , the original of the certificate of identity valid .

For married women:Edit

  • A copy of the certificate of identity or a copy of the CNI spouse and a copy of the marriage certificate.
  • A foreign woman who marries an Ivorian , a copy of the marriage certificate , copy of the ID or certificate of identity of the groom and the original certificate of nationality of the husband.

For naturalizedEdit

  • Attach the file copies and the original Decree of Naturalization and the Official journal. The originals are recovered S / DPAF (national security ) by the applicant himself after removal of biometric passports

For foreign adopted by an Ivorian

  • Photocopy of the CNI or certificate of identity of the adopter and the large adoption.
  • For the Ivorian adopted by a foreigner: the big adoption photocopy of the passport or the photocopy of the CNI of the adopting family and the certificate of consent by the father.

Processing TimeEdit

The biometric passport will be issued after verification of fingerprints 72 hours after the inspection and validation of records by the Sub-Directorate of the Police Air and Frontier (S / DPAF).

Need for the DocumentEdit

The Ivorian Passport is issued to citizens of Cte d'Ivoire for international travel. Ivory Coast issues biometric passports only Ordinary biometric passport is a secure travel document containing a computer chip that stores biometric and biographic data of the applicant.
