Apply In-Person
- In general to apply for water and sewerage connection one need to approach the Ivory Coast water distribution company (SODECI) branch agency offices in their district and express your interest.
- Read carefully through the application form as it contains different section, if you encounter any difficult, please ask for assistance from the supporting staff.
- Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending staff for verification and processing.
- Pay the deposit application fees, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
- After logging your application, inspectors from the SODECI, will visit the applicant’s (your) premise to survey and determine the feasibility or otherwise of a connection, after which the applicant will be advised on the finding report.
- Where the connection is not feasible, the Company's Connection Team shall state the reasons thereof to the applicant.
- Where the connection is feasible, the Company's Connection Team shall determine the nearest point of connection to the service mains and provide the applicant with an estimate of the cost of connection.
- Depending on the quoted costs and the connection fees, you will be required to proceed and make payments at the SODECI office, where you will be issued with a receipt.
- Upon payment of the required fees, External works, meter installation, and other essential processes will be done to make sure you can access water in 15 working days.

- The national identity card (CNI) or the residence card;
- The letter of allocation or the topographical extract or the land title or the building permit for the lot to be supplied;
- An authorization from the owner duly signed and legalized, if the applicant is not the owner of the premises.

- Deposit fee 16,500 FCFA (Refundable)
- Subscription fee 2,756
- Cost of normal connection without meter 147,630 FCFA
- Cost of normal connection with meter 166,886 FCFA
- Additional quotation fee will be issued in the following cases
- (i) Tarmac crossing
- (ii) Manhole construction for the counter
- (iii) 15 mm diameter connection the length exceeding 6 meters
ValidityEdit
- The water connection is valid forever unless failure of payment of the water bill, thus lead to disconnection of the service.
