Apply In-Person

  1. Applicant should gather all the supporting documents (listed below) and visit the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development department of Pesticides office.
  2. Collect the application form from the license desk and fill it accurately.
  3. Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) for verification and processing.
  4. Pay the licence fee at the in-house bank, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
  5. The Ministry will dispatch an inspector to the facility premises for inspection to determine if Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) during storage and dispatch of product that quality control, and quality assurance of the products is practise.
  6. A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required rectify the problem.
  7. Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
  8. If the pesticide committee are satisfied that all the conditions for filling the application are met you will be notified of the outcome within 3 months and issued with the licence.

Required DocumentsEdit

  1. Request for Distributor approval addressed to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
  2. Legal form (Limited Liability Company) SARL or SA (Anonymous Company) of the company
  3. Photocopies of training diplomas (Agronomist Engineer or Agricultural Techniques or BTS Agriculture) of at least two permanent technical sales representatives of the company ( Present the original of the diploma when submitting the file to the Pesticides Committee Secretariat )
  4. Photocopy of the CROPLIFE CI or MINADER diploma of at least two Permanent technical sales representatives of the company (Present the original of the diploma when submitting the application to the Pesticides Committee Secretariat )
  5. CNPS update certificate
  6. Copy of the CNPS declaration of all employees of the company
  7. Document of the administrative organization of the company to be informed and signed by the General Management (Document to be withdrawn at the DPVCQ )
  8. Signed undertaking attesting to the existence of a storage warehouse in Abidjan or within the country (To be legalized)
  9. Signed undertaking aiming to comply with the phytosanitary regulations in force as well as the necessary security and protection systems (A Legalize)
  10. Photocopy of the trade register clearly mentioning the company's pesticide sales activity
  11. Certificate of Tax Situation Regularity issued by the Tax Services
  12. Official document attesting that the company is the legal representative in Côte d'Ivoire of the pesticide manufacturer (s)
  13. Commitment to medical monitoring of all company personnel signed by a doctor regularly registered with the Order of Coast Doctors d'Ivoire (on letterhead of the company of the signatory doctor)
  14. Attach the photocopy of the card of the National Order of Doctors for the current year or the photocopy of the Certificate of registration in the order of doctors signed by the President of the Order of Doctors
  15. Health insurance for employees and Professional civil and comprehensive insurance
  16. List and number of the company's equipment and working materials (vehicles, protective equipment, list of phytosanitary products already approved in Côte d'Ivoire, etc.)
  17. Photocopy of the Chef's identity card the company
  18. photocopy of the identity cards of the technical staff

  • The pesticide committee who’s mandate enforce, implement and regulate pesticide distribution in Ivory Coast by issuing pesticide distributor approval licence authorized to import pesticides or phytosanitary products
  • The aim of these is to maintain the integrity of the product for their intended purpose and avoid misleading the general public.
  • No person/entity should produce, manufacture, supply, distribute or sell to the general public any pesticide product that has not yet being tested, approved, registered and licenced by the ministry.
