Apply In-Person

  1. Purchase stamp
    (i) Applicant are required to purchase a stamp, via the ONECI website, which will allow you to go to an ONECI enrolment centre and have yourself enrolled.
    (ii) Visit the ONECI website portal link on buy a stamp option, you will be redirected to the next page.
    (iii) Fill out request form accurately (full name, date/place of birth, mother’s name, type of request select “new CNI” tab, email address) then click on “Buy now “tab.
    (iv) Then click on “PAY“ tab and make the payment via online through the entity listed on the site i.e.(Orange Money, Moov Money, MTN Mobile Money, Visa, MasterCard) then click on “payer” tab.
    (v) Print your receipt and a copy will be sent to your email inbox.
  2. Visit the enrolment centres
    (i) Visit the ONECI enrolment centre near you with the supporting documents (listed below) and express your interest.
    (ii) Present the receipt to the ONECI enrolling agent, after verification you will be enrolled and issued with a receipt.
    (iii) Collect the application form and Read through it carefully as it contain different section, then fill it and then confirm that the information are accurate and Sign it.
    (iv) Pick the control ticket number and wait for your turn.
    (v) Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents to the attending officer for verification and processing.
    (vi) Your biometric data (finger print and photo) will be taken on site.
  3. Collecting your ID card
  • You will receive an SMS once your national identity card is available for collection, revisit the ONECI enrolment centre and claim your ID card.

Ivorian aged 16 and over

  1. A birth certificate extract (original + photocopy) or
  2. A supplementary judgment (original + photocopy) or
  3. An expedition from the fairground hearings (original + photocopy)
  4. A Certificate of Nationality
  5. Receipt for payment of the stamp



Ivorian born abroad

  1. A birth certificate drawn up by consular or diplomatic services abroad or by the services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (original and photocopy) or
  2. An extract from the birth certificate of the host country + Â an individual civil status certificate issued by the services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated less than three (03) months.
  3. A Certificate of Nationality
  4. Receipt for payment of the stamp



Persons naturalized for less than five years

  1. An amplification of the naturalization decree (original + photocopy) or
  2. A copy of the official journal where the decree was published (original + photocopy) or
  3. A certificate stating the existence of said decree and issued by the Ministry of Justice
  4. A certificate of Ivorian nationality (original + photocopy)
  5. Receipt for payment of the stamp



Foreign woman who married an Ivorian

  1. An extract from the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment (original + photocopy)
  2. An extract from a marriage certificate dating back at least six months (original and photocopy)
  3. A certificate of Ivorian nationality
  4. An extension of the naturalization decree (original + photocopy)
  5. A copy of the official journal where the decree was published (original + photocopy)
  6. A certificate stating the existence of said decree and issued by the Ministry of Justice
  7. A certificate of nationality
  8. Receipt for payment of the stamp



Foreign man who married an Ivorian woman after August 29, 2005

  1. An extract from the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment (original + photocopy)
  2. An extract from a marriage certificate dating back at least six months (original + photocopy)
  3. A certificate of Ivorian nationality (original + photocopy).
  4. Receipt for payment of the stamp

  • The ID card is valid for 10 years and renewable afterwards

Processing TimeEdit

  • If all the requirements have been met, the CNI card process shall be carried out within a period of 45 days of the receipt of the application.

  9. Parents name, nationality, tribe and clan.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • An identity card is an official document which allows a natural person to prove his identity and his Ivorian nationality. It allows entry into certain countries without having to acquire a passport.
  • The CNI demagnetized card contain an electronic chip that is encoded with the holder information. Issuable to all Ivorian citizens and valid for ten years from the date of issue.
