Apply In-Person

  1. Book an appointment
    (i) During the on-going corona virus epidemic period, the Centre de Gestion Intégrée de service(CGI) advises all applicant to make an appointment booking first, via QUIPUX website link link
    (ii) Click on the far right side of your screen, Make appointment option.
    (iii) You will be redirected to the next page, fill out all mandatory fields accurately (location, under formality select “carte grise”, CGI agency that you wish to fill your application with, date, time, email address, full name, phone number, identification document, document number)
    (iv) Accept terms and conditions then click on “To send” tab.
    (v) You will receive details of your appointment, indicating that it has been taken into account by the CGI DIGITAL.
    (vi) Alternative you can call the CGI toll free number 1320 or (+225) 21006929 to make the booking appointment or for inquires.
  2. File your applicant
    (i) Visit the regional integrated Service Management Center (CGI) office, you had book an appointment with at the specific date and time.
    (ii) Approach the Department of transportation service desk and express your interest, fill out the application form accurately.
    (iii) Pick the control ticket service number and wait for your ticket number to be called.
    (iv) Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.
    (v) Payment the application fees at the in-house bank, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
    (vi) If the attending official is satisfied that all the conditions for filling the application are met, youwill be issued with the international gray card within one day.

Required DocumentsEdit

  1. A legible photocopy of the registration document (presentation of the original).
  2. A legible photocopy of the valid identification document (natural person) of the vehicle owner.
  3. If the owner is a legal person, a legible photocopy of the valid identification document (natural person) of their legal representative and a legible photocopy of the document appropriate to its legal status.
  4. A legible photocopy of the valid technical inspection certificate (presentation of the original).
  5. An authorization from the credit institution if the vehicle is under pawn.
  6. A legible photocopy of the owner's CIE or SODECI invoice or the residence certificate.
  7. A legible photocopy of the valid insurance certificate for the vehicle.

EligibilityEdit

  • Anyone wishing to return their local gray card for an international gray card can apply.

FeesEdit

  1. Motorcycle: 10000fr CFA
  2. Motor vehicle:
  • power less than 8hp = 25000fr CFA
  • power equal to 8hp and less than 11hp = 25000fr CFA
  • power equal to 12hp and less than 16hp = 25000fr CFA
  • power equal to 16hp and more = 25000fr CFA
  • Semi-trailer and trailer = 25000fr CFA


ValidityEdit

  • The international gray card is valid forever, but requires update of information in case of change or modification of the vehicle
