Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. You should visit the Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) branch office near you approach the service desk and express your interest.
2. Fill out the application form, attach the supporting documents (listed below) and submit to the attending officer for verification and processing.
3. After your application is approved, CIE will have some of its personnel visit your residence to verify the compliance of standards within 3 to 7 days. The officers will also estimate the amount you will be required to pay for the connection.
4. Depending on the quoted costs, you will be required to proceed with payments at the CIE office, where you will be issued with a receipt.
5. Upon payment of the required cost, External works, meter installation, and other essential processes will be done to make sure you can access electricity in 5 working days.

Apply Online

1. Click on “I connect” to Login the CIE website via this link link,index if you have an account, if you do not have an account click on “I register”
2. You will be redirected to the next page, fill out the registration form accurately, captcha the security features, accept terms and conditions and then click on “Validate” tab.
3. Login your account with the email address and password you had registered with, fill out the connection request form accurately and submit.
4. Your application will be sent to CIE for action. You will receive a notification of your application via email address and details about CIE site visit.
5. CIE will have some of its personnel visit your residence to verify the compliance of standards within 3 to 7 days. The officers will also estimate the amount you will be required to pay for the connection.
6. You will be required to visit the CIE office near you with the supporting documents and the quoted cost and make payment, where you will be issued with a receipt.
7. Upon payment of the required cost, External works, meter installation, and other essential processes will be done to make sure you can access electricity in 5 working days.

1. The topographic extract of the lot or the building permit or the land title or the award letter or any other document that may make it possible to locate the land and the property
2. A location sheet to be completed at the CIE
3. The identity document of the owner and the tenant
4. SECUREL certificate
5. Photocopy of the legalized lease contract

• Validity of the connection is forever, unless one fail’s to pay the electricity bill which lead to disconnection of the electricity service.
