Italy - Obtain a Marriage Certificate
ProcedureEdit
To obtain the certificate, you must complete the application form, indicating in addition to the generality of the spouses, the date and place of marriage referred to in the certificate and report the details of their identification.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- A final divorce ( sentenza di divorzio) or annulment decree or death certificate (if previously married)
- If either party is under 18, a sworn statement of consent to the marriage by the parents or legal guardians
- You also need the inevitable fiscal stamp
- You may also need to obtain a certificate of no impediment ( nulla osta) from a consulate stating that according to the laws to which youre subject in your home country, theres no obstacle to your marriage.

EligibilityEdit
The marriage certificate may be required by those who have a valid form of ID and know the personal details of the person to whom the certificate relates.
FeesEdit
You will be required to pay for the certification fees of approximately 0.26. The rate is set by the municipality in which the request is made.
ValidityEdit
A marriage certificate is considered valid up to the time when the marriage is terminated by divorce.

An essential condition for the issue is that people have been married in the municipality in which you are requesting the certificate. If the marriage was contracted in another municipality is necessary that the act was transcribed in the municipality in which you are requesting the certificate, as the spouses or one of them at the date of the marriage was a resident here.
