Isle Of Man - Obtain Television (TV) Licence
ProcedureEdit
- To apply for a free TV licence you will need to complete application form TV1.
- You may obtain a copy of the form by contacting getting in touch with the Income Support Pensioners Unit at Markwell House. Telephone +44 1624 685084. You may also request one from either the Departments district offices at Port Erin or Ramsey.
- Submit the completed form, together with the licence renewal notice or the licence itself to the Income Support Pensioners Unit (address provided below).
Persons aged 75 or over:
If you are receiving payment of a retirement pension from the Social Security Division you will be sent an information sheet explaining how you can claim your free TV licence.
Free licenses for people aged 75 or over are issued irrespective of what, if any benefit you are in receipt of.

EligibilityEdit
To qualify for a you or your partner must:
- be liable to pay a fee for a television licence
- have attained state pension age (but not aged 75), and either
- be in receipt of or treated as being in receipt of Income Support or Income based Jobseekers Allowance or
- have been in receipt of either of those benefits in the past or be the widow or widower of a person who has been in receipt of either of those benefits in the past and have capital of less than 20,000 (this amount applies to both single persons and couples)

InstructionsEdit
You can submit your application for a free TV Licence at any time within the 3 month period commencing 1 month before the date upon which the TV licence is payable and ending 2 months after the date.
Example - if the licence is due for renewal on 1 October, you can claim at any time in the 3 month period between 1 September and 30 November.
